On the road you can see the Mountains pop up from the land.

Here Paul is with "Gremlin" at the entrance gate!

The visitor center, not a tall building, as to not interfer with the landscape.

It is so hard to pick out pictures for this park, every view is just spectacular!

The land changes thru out the park along with the colors of the soil.

The Crawford family actually had a farm in this area in 1870 not that long ago. click on the picture and read more.

This is called the Temples and towers, every mountain top was named from the indians, but of course when they were driven away or killed we renamed them.

What a view for sure!

Here we are enjoying the view...

Another view!

Another view, notice how the soil changes.

Turkey's a flock of them, if you approach them they will attack you, not like the New England ones....They are really beautiful really colorfull.

I tried to show how tall these points of rock really are!

See the different layers of rock.

We had to stop for this mule deer in the road, it was like he understood the cars would stop for him and take his picture, soon another deer came bounding across the road. He was stopping the traffic for his mate.

He kept walking up to our car, thought he might get in.

There was three of them, then they went down the hillside to the stream and walked across it....it is their home!

We camped that night in the Zion National Park campground. This is the view from our site!

Check out the reflection in our back window!

The view along with the make up of the rock changes all the time, from sandstone to almost like a marble.

We took a walk the next morning and this rock is on the walkway, just standing up flat on each side, someday it will fall and cover the walkway, but for now it is like a sentry watching!

Check out the water falls, you have to walk underneath them to continue the path. I still have the red soil on the bottom of my shoes.

This explains about the three pools of water and who lives around them. It was cool that day we didn't see any frogs yet!.

I tried to capture what it was like under the waterfalls, without getting my lens wet, tricky!

It was an amazing site, and this is the first of three pools to walk up to.

This is what the walk looked like, Gremlin stayed back in the motor home.

Up and up you go till you reach a plateau and you see this stream of water.

You can see in this view the walkway under the waterfalls.

This rock has pimples in it, strange hugh?

To leave the park you can drive thru the tunnel which is 1.1 miles thru the mountains, your vehicle has to be UNDER 94 inches wide, and UNDER 11 feet, or else you need an escort plus $25 to enter the tunnel, they actually stop the traffic one way so you can go thru but only if you need an escort. Of course we didn't need one!

They have openings going thru the tunnel for air, no ventilations systems in place here...

Another short tunnel after the first one, piece of cake.

On the other side the landscape changes again, notice how the rocks are now. Remember this land was under water at one time, the receeding waters formed these shapes.
